474 areas and objects (218.8 thousand ha) make up the nature reserve fund, which amounts to 15.7% of the total region`s area. Interesting and cognitive routes for tourists are developed in the national nature parks: Carpathian, Halych, Verkhovyna, “Hutsulshchyna”, regional landscape parks “Polianytskyi”, “Dnistrovskyi”, etc.
The wildlife rehabilitation and reintroduction Center in Halych and Narrow Gauge Heritage Center in Vyhoda are the popular family vacation destinations in the Carpathian region.
