Bukovel is the largest ski resort in Ukraine. Located not far from the Polianytsia village of Yaremche district, at the foothill of Bukovel Mountain at an altitude of 920 meters above the sea level.
A small resort town has a big range of facilities for sports, business, recreation and rehabilitation: 63 ski trails of all levels of difficulty with a total length of 65 km, 16 ski lifts with a capacity of 34,700 people per hour, ski school (including specialized children school), rental equipment, snow park and bike park.
In summer Bukovel offers recreation on the lake with ecological heating system and equipped beach area, jeep tours, ATV’s, horse and bicycle riding, hiking, etc.
Since 2008, the resort has started to develop as a medical and balneological center. This center specializes in helping people with the musculoskeletal system, gastrointestinal tract and urinoexcretory system problems. The resort is also known for its Bukovel vats with mineral water and herbal decoctions.
In 2012, Bukovel Ski Resort was recognized as the fastest growing mountain resort in the world.
The International Children's Center "Artek-Bukovel" has been operating here since 2014.
